SL Christmas Expo

The Roos are heavily involved in the Christmas Expo every year and this year was no exception. We hosted and  we played Santa but the highlight was performing our Patty's new play, 'Kids' Quest For The Cure'

I Pink I Can

Never ones to say no to the Jenny and the Campers, the Roos had a ball at the Strides campaign's 'I Pink I Can' in October. Our highlights: we did a set as DJ Kayla and the Kangaroos and we presented an encore performance of Patty's first play, "A Child's Journey Through Cancer: the Musical."

Relay Weekend

The annual Relay Weekend of Relay For Life of Second Life 2022 was held on June 8-9. As usual our campsite was across the street from the Cure Chasers forming one contiguous build.We capped off our Monday With The Roos series of dance parties with an event at our campsite.

Monday With The Roos

We held 16 consecutive Monday nights of 'Monday With The Roos' BYOK dance parties in 2024. The Roos would like to thank everyone who attended for the fun you brought us every Monday night. 

It was a joy for us to host these parties and a great pleasure to share the credit for the US$1,341 we raised with the 22 teams who joined us for at least one Monday.

We treasure the support you've all shown to both us and to our shared dream... a world without cancer!!!

Medieval Fun Fair

The Sunbeamers again invited DJ Kayla and the Roos to perform at their annual Medieval Fun Fair on June 1.  The event features axe throwing, archery and jousting contests and a dramatic entrance by the Roos in a hot air balloon piloted by Sunbeamer Cynthia (no one was injured).

At our good friends the Sunbeamers 10th Annual RFL Air Show Fly-in on May 4, DJ Kayla and the Roos, as part of our show, made a fly-in worthy  of Star Wars, piloted by Captain Kayla Skywalker.

RelayStock

The Roos were at one of our favourite events, RelayStock, all weekend long from May 10-12. 

Proving once again that you can't keep a Roo off a stage, we performed with Team Timesville and with the Sunbeamers as well as taking our own turn on the stage.
